Ice control products
Festival Snowplowers delivers and applies many ice control products,
including Rock salt for driveways, parking lots and roadways. We also have
safer melting products, such as calcium chloride or potassium chloride for
walks and brick. This year we have added a new line of ice and snow
preventatives, which are applied before it snows and are capable of melting
2" or more of fresh snow and can remain active @ 2 weeks till the next snow.

- Rock salt is a inexpensive and effective ice and snow
fighter. Good to about 5 degrees above zero. However is does cause damage to brick, new concrete
and especially vegetation.
- Safe melting products are generally more effective and more
expensive than rock salt. They work to lower temperatures and they
are less likely to damage grass & flowers or new concrete.
they are one of the products you should use on brick, concrete pavers or
stone, all of which rock salt is known to harm.
- Ice & Snow preventatives are liquid melting chemicals that are
sprayed on the surfaces to be protected, before the storm hits,
the product will resist the formation of ice and snow until the product is consumed
or the
snow is removed.
- Liquid de-icing is and alternative to after storm salting and is a
clean effective way to prevent the formation of ice when the
temperatures fall after the storm.
